ERC, European Challenge Cup organisers, have today (Monday, 28 January) confirmed the fixture details for the 2007/2008 European Challenge Cup quarter-finals.
CLASH OF EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS
Sale Sharks - the 2002 and 2005 European Challenge Cup champions - will meet Brive at Edgeley Park in this season's opening quarter-final on Friday, 4 April (19.30).
The clash between clubs who have won European titles, Brive lifting the Heineken Cup in 1997, is one of three Anglo-French meetings in the quarter-finals.
The three other quarter-finals will be played on Saturday, 5 April with the final match of the weekend, the showdown between Newcastle Falcons and Castres Olympique in front of the Sky Sports and France Televisions cameras at Kingston Park in the evening (20.00), confirming the semi-finalists for the weekend of 25 / 26 / 27 April.
