Castres Olympique have progressed to the final eight of the European Challenge Cup by beating Leeds 13-3 to win Pool 5.
Over 6,000 Fans in France had to wait almost an hour for the first score in the European Challenge Cup match between Castres Olympique and Leeds Carnegie.
In terrible conditions at the Stade Pierre Antoine the mud soaked players trudged from the field with the score at 0-0 at the interval.
Fullback Romain Teulet opened the scoring with a penalty after 58 minutes and he doubled the home side's lead five minutes later with a second penalty
Leeds battled but conceded the games only try with just 11 minutes of the match when second row Lionel Nallet found space to cross.
That score was converted by Teulet to give Castres a 13-0 lead and a sniff of victory.
Leeds did score a penalty with two minutes left on the clock by Alberto di Bernado but it was largely irrelevant, and now the English side must wait to see if this weekend's results go their way and they might sneak into the final eight of the European Challenge Cup as a best runner up.
