France international outside half Lionel Beauxis has signed a contract extension with Stade Français, which will keep him in the French capital until at least 2010.
Selected as the IRB World Young Payer of the year in 2006, Beauxis started his professional career in Pau in 2004, with whom he played in 2005 European Challenge Cup final against Sale Sharks.
In 2006 he joined Stade Français Paris and in his first season in the capital won the French Top 14 championship with Fabien Galthie's squad. He was subsequently included in the France squad to participate to the Rugby World Cup where he played three games including appearing in the quarter-final win over New Zealand and semi-final loss to England.
The 23 year old who is back this weekend after an injury has made seven appearances in the Heineken Cup to date, kicking 37 points for the Parisians.
