The Welsh player Lee Thomas and the international French back row Sebastien Chabal have signed a new contract with the 2005 European Challenge Cup winners Sale Sharks.
Thomas who can play centre and 10 has joined the English club in 2006 after playing for Cardiff. The young back has signed a two year contract and will stay in Sale at least 2010.
Sebastien Chabal signed a two year deal with an additional one. The international back row (37 caps with France) joined Sale in 2004 and won the European Challenge Cup in 2005 with the Sharks. The experienced player has scored 12 tries in both European competitions and has developed into a key for Sale.
Sale coach Philippe St André said: "Sebastien is a great player. He always gives his best. He will play a big part in the future of Sale Sharks and we are all delighted that he has signed a new deal. "
The Sharks are top of Pool 4 with 20 points and will host Petrarca Rugby in Round 5, on Friday, 11 January 2008.
