Tim Hayes will referee the opening European Challenge Cup quarter-final when Sale Sharks clash with Brive at Edgeley Park on Friday, 4 April (kick-off 7.30 pm).
The Welsh referee will be in charge of a match between former European champions as Sale Sharks are chasing a hat-trick of European Challenge Cup titles after lifting the trophy in 2002 and 2005 while Brive won the Heineken Cup in 1997.
Romain Poite (France) will referee the all-England clash between Bath Rugby and Leeds Carnegie, George Clancy (Ireland) will be in charge of the tie between Worcester Warriors and Montpellier while the Newcastle Falcons match against Castres Olympique will be controlled by Peter Allan (Scotland).
