Mark Cueto of Sale Sharks speaks about the Rugby World Cup and his preparations for the 2007/08 club season.
Cueto told SaleSharks.com, "The weather has been glorious and I have thoroughly enjoyed myself training with the rest of the squad. It's been hard work but, after my injury problems last season its been great being able to train without being in pain."
Mark added, "My injuries started at Ospreys, then Stade Francais and just when I thought the problems were over, my calf went in the Wales v England game. Thankfully the backroom team at Sale Sharks have helped me return to full fitness and I can't thank them enough."
When asked about Sale Sharks chances next season, Mark said, "Kingsley has said that competition for places will be tough and that's how it should be. If I am selected to be part of England's World Cup bid, I will give it everything I have got, but I know I will have to be on the top of my game when I turn out for Sale Sharks. I am really looking forward to the new season with the Sharks, hopefully I can score some tries and help create tries for my team mates. We are looking to make up for last season and giving our faithful supporters plenty to shout about."
Sale Sharks will face Petrarca Padova, Montpellier and Bayonne in the Pool Stages of next season's European Challenge Cup which kicks off on November 9 2007.
