Wasps veteran Lawrence Dallaglio is one of seven players from the 2007 Heineken Cup champions in England's World Cup squad.
The 35 year old number 8 who led Wasps to victory against Leicester Tigers in front of 81,000 fans at the Twickenham Stadium in May was named among Brian Ashton's 30 man England squad who aim to retain the Webb Ellis trophy in October.
Dallaglio is among seven Wasps players named in the 30 man England squad with the London club having the highest representation of any club in the national squad. The Londoner is joined by fellow Wasps forwards Joe Worsley, Tom Rees, Phil Vickery ( England captain) and Simon Shaw. The European club champions' backline is represented by this season's joint Heineken Cup top try scorer Paul Sackey (seven tries) as well as Josh Lewsey.
The Wasps captain has an unrivalled European pedigree having captained his Club to three European titles, lifting the European Challenge Cup in 2003 after defeating Bath Rugby, the Heineken Cup in 2004 with a famous victory over Toulouse and regaining the top European trophy in 2007.
Fans can study Dallaglio's full European career in ercrugby.com's European Player Records section which details his 47 Heineken Cup appearances and eight tries scored at the European top table as well his European Challenge Cup caps.
Wasps will set out to retain their Heineken Cup title after the Rugby World Cup with a challenging Pool 5 opener against the 2006 champions Munster on Saturday, 10 November.
