Leicester Tigers have named South African Heyneke Meyer as the club's new Head Coach.
The 40-year-old Meyer moves to Welford Road from South Africa where he led the Blue Bulls to a Super 14 title in 2007 as well as four Currie Cup titles in five years.
The former Springbok assistant coach has signed a three year contact with the double Heineken Cup champions and will take up the role before the start of next season.
"I have always thought that if I want to get back into rugby it must be with one of the best clubs in the world, and I truly believe Leicester Tigers are one of the best clubs in world rugby.
"I have a lot of respect for what the club has achieved in the past and I have been impressed with everybody I have met from the club", said the new Tigers Head Coach
Meyer will get his first taste of Heineken Cup rugby in October where the Tigers will face Ospreys, Treviso and Perpignan in Pool 3.
