Toulouse scrum-half Byron Kelleher paid tribute to his side's fighting spirit as they overcame adversity to defeat London Irish and book their fifth Heineken Cup Final appearance.
The European big guns had to deal with the loss of key personnel for the Twickenham showdown and then the early London Irish onslaught, which saw them trailing 10-3 with half an hour gone.
But Guy Noves' men managed to re-group and held their nerve to take the tie 21-15. Kelleher said:
"We had to dig deep there. It's been a tough season and today definitely tested our squad but we stuck in there for a well fought win.
"We haven't won this competition in a while so the desire is certainly there from the boys and we showed a lot of heart out there and that's what it takes to win this competition.
"In the final we'll just try to play enjoyable French rugby, throw the ball around and do our best to win".
