Double Heineken Cup winner Josh Lewsey will miss next Saturday's World Cup final because of a hamstring injury.
The London Wasps utility back limped off during last weekend's semi-final victory over France after scoring the only try of the game.
Lewsey's injury has ruled him out of contention for the final and his place on the 30 man England squad will be filled by an additional player later this week.
The 30-year-old prolific try scorer for Wasps has already won one World Cup medal with England (2003), as well as winning a European Challenge Cup title (2003) and two Heineken Cup medals 2004 & 2007) with the London Club.
Wasps fans will be hoping for a speedy recovery for Lewsey and that he will be back for their opening European clash against Munster at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday, 10 November.
