Heineken Cup finalists Toulouse are awaiting the results of a scan of Jean-Baptiste Elissalde's injured right knee.
Elissalde sustained the injury in last weekend's Heineken Cup semi-final victory over London Irish.
The France international played the majority of the match with his right knee in strapping, but that didn't stop him from scoring 11 of his sides 21 points, from three penalties and a conversion.
Those points proved crucial as Toulouse sneaked past the English 21-15 to book a place in their fifth Heineken Cup final.
Intial reports suggested that the player had sustained a meniscus injury, which is the two half-moon-shaped pieces of cartilage lying firmly on the shin bone. Ellisalde told AFP that the ligaments are intact, allaying concerns of a lengthy lay off.
The full extent of the injury will be revealed with the scan result and it is unllikely Elissalde will play for his club in the Top 14 match with Auch this weekend.
