Reaching the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup would be the biggest and best achievement of the Cardiff Blues, according to Wales centre Tom Shanklin.
They stand of the verge of reaching the top eight for the first time as a region, but need a victory or draw in Bristol on Sunday to emulate the Cardiff club who reached that stage in 2001.
Bristol have a chance of qualification, while defeat for the Blues could open the door to Stade Francais. However, despite all the permutations, the Blues have their Heineken Cup destiny in their own hands.

"It is going to be tough, they have been playing some good rugby and we are playing them away on their home turf, but it is in our own hands - we definitely would have settled for this," admitted Shanklin.
"Preparation has to be at its best because it's about the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup and we want to win.
"I think it would mean a lot to get through. We have not done it since I have been here, Cardiff got through in 2001 and that was the last time of qualifying.
"We have always had the opportunity but nothing quite as big and as good as this so it would be a big step forward for the Blues if we can qualify.
"It is always the really good teams that win away from home. We know what we are going to get with Bristol, they have a big pack, they play with this rush defence so hopefully, weather permitting as well, it will be a bit more open and we can get some of our strike runners going better.
"If we break through to the quarter-finals then anything can happen."
