David Humpheys revealed the secret of his cunning second half try that tipped the game in Ulster's favour against London Irish...
Ulster skipper Simon best was given the credit for David Humphreys' outrageous second half try that put Ulster on the road to a vital bonus point at Ravenhill.
While everyone in the packed ground, including ht London Irish players and Humphreys himself was expecting a kick for goal four minutes in to the second half, the wily Best had other ideas.
"I had my back to the line and was preparing myself for the penalty kick when Simon noticed there was no body home for London Irish," said Heineken man of the match Humphreys.
"The referee blew his whistle, Simon gave me a nudge and off we went.
"It's something that's happened to us a few times in the past but I don't think I can take too much credit for it - it was Simon's idea."
And what a good idea it proved to be. Less than a week on from conceding four tries in a 29-13 defeat at the Madejski Stadium, Best and co. turned up the heat in Pool 5 by responding with a bonus point win of their own.
"We were very disappointed with ourselves last week, but this shows the quality of the squad. said Humphreys.
"We are delighted with the team performance and the way we bounced back, and, after a bonus point win, we are still there.
"I guess if the Starlets win in Toulouse then it's over and done with but we will keep on fighting."
