Toulouse fly-half Freddy Michalak could miss the club's opening Heineken Cup game against Ulster next month.
The 23-year-old has injured his knee during training and is expected to be out of action for at least four weeks. At an early stage in his career, Michalak has already 37 Heineken Cup caps with three-times champions Toulouse.
Toulouse face Ulster in their Heineken Cup opener in five-and-a-half weeks' time on October 21st and Michalak will be struggling to regain full fitness by then.
Wales's international flanker Robin Sowden-Taylor is unlikely to feature in the Heineken Cup this season after breaking his right ankle during Cardiff Blues' Magners League defeat against the Ospreys on Wednesday night. The 23-year-old featured in all six Heineken Cup games for the Blues last season.
