Ulster prop Justin Fitzpatrick was delighted with his side's pulsating 25-24 victory over a determined Bourgoin team at Ravenhill.
The home side had found themselves 24-13 behind with little over 20 minutes remaining, but tries from scrum-half Paul Marshall and then a last gasp effort from Andrew Trimble saw Ulster snatch a nail-biting triumph.
Fitzpatrick said: "We are very pleased to have won, in parts we played some very good rugby and it was certainly an entertaining game to both play in and watch.
I thought it was a very hard fought win which went to the wire. They fielded a very good Bourgoin side who entered into the spirit of a free flowing game of rugby"
The win is Ulster's first in this season's tournament and although it has come too late in the day to enhance their qualification chances it will send out a warning to Gloucester who welcome the Irishmen to Kingsholme on the final weekend
