Castres Olympique and France international second row Lionel Nallet was one of several French big name stars to put pen to papers on new contracts this week.
Following speculation about a possible move to Bourgoin or Brive, Lionel Nallet has decided to stay with Castres for at least another two seasons.
"I was considering moving back to Bourgoin for family reasons but I understood as well that Castres wanted to keep me as a player. The situation needed to be clarified. I decided to stay in Castres and extend my contract. I really want to help this club to be one of the most successful clubs in France and in Europe" said the 31 year old.
Heineken Cup semi-finalists Toulouse have confirmed the contract extension of Argentinean lock Patricio Albecete for two more years. Albecete joined Toulouse from Pau in 2005 and was last month voted player of the Top 14.
Championship leaders ASM Clermont Auvergne confirmed contract extensions with two of their internationals Thibault Privat and Mario Ledesma, who will stay for three years and one year respectively.
