Stade Francais outside half David Skrela admitted his side have a slim chance of quarter-finals qualification after suffering their second away defeat of the competition.
The Paris team went down 31-21 against the Blues at Cardiff Arms Park and did not even gain a bonus point because of an injury time drop goal by Blues outside half Dai Flanagan.
And French international Skrela backed the Blues to come out top of the group, with Bristol the other team challenging strongly to go through.
"It is almost over for us in this group, we need a lot of luck to qualify now. We have only two games left, we obviously need to beat Bristol in Paris and Harlequins away and then see what happens," he admitted.
"Each time we go away we cannot win, in the first half against Bristol and here in Cardiff we could not get into the game, then it is harder in the second half to come back when playing away.
"It was terrible today, we only scored two tries. In the first half we were under pressure and then we could not come back after that, they had us going backwards too much.
"Their outside half managed the game very well and took the drop goal well at the end. He played with a really good team and killed it off at the end.
"I think Cardiff stand a better chance of going through than Bristol."
