The Directors of Bristol Rugby Club announced that Head Coach, Richard Hill, has signed a 3 year extension to his contract, which will now continue until the end of the 2009/ 10 season.
Chief Executive David White said:
"This shows a 100% commitment by Richard to the future of
Bristol Rugby and is another indication that the club's planning for the future is on-going."
"Despite the media's conviction that Bristol Rugby would be immediately relegated from the Guinness Premiership, Richard's eye for recruitment, his ability to organise and plan resulted in the Club more than just surviving."
"Richard's achievements with the team this season have been outstanding and his decision to extend his contract provides the continuity for Bristol Rugby to re-establish itself as one of the leading Clubs in England."
"I know our supporters, sponsors and all associated with Bristol rugby will be delighted with this news."
Richard Hill said:
" When I was given the opportunity to head up the excellent coaching team three years ago, we had a huge challenge to take Bristol Rugby out of the first division and into the Premiership where we had hoped to re - establish this famous Club as one of the major forces in English rugby."
