Saracens Director of Rugby Alan Gaffney made no effort to conceal his feelings after his side crashed to London Wasps in the Guinness Premiership last Saturday.
"The first 40 minutes were close to the most embarrassing 40 minutes I've been involved in," said Gaffney.
Gaffney will be praying it was a case of a 'bad dress rehearsal' ahead of the main event this weekend - the Heineken Cup semi-final against Munster
The coach could only watch in horror as his side leaked five first half tries en route to a 40-29 humbling to the current European champions.
However, Wasps cannot defend their crown and Alan Gaffney's side are still in with a shot of claiming their first Heineken Cup.
Mighty Munster, Gaffney's old club, stand in the way, and they continued their winning run with a narrow 9-8 win over EDF Cup winners the Ospreys on Saturday.
Munster's second string survived ten minutes of injury-time. Paul Warwick's hat trick of penalty goals set the province up nicely for next weekend's Heineken Cup assault.
