A losing bonus point against Glasgow Warriors at Firhill on Friday night will see the Saracens through to the knock-out stages for the first time.
The five-try blitz against Biarritz Olympique at Vicarage Road earned Neil de Kock's team a valuable try bonus point and a five-point cushion at the top of Pool 4.
In their three previous seasons in the Heineken Cup Saracens have failed to qualify for the knock-out stages but now they find themselves in with a real chance of not only making the last eight but earning quarter-final home advantage for good measure.
"For us it's about momentum and we'll look at the permutations but we want a quarter-final and, once you're looking at that, you are always going to be thinking about getting a home quarter-final," said de Kock.
"It's never easy to play up in Glasgow and it's going to be a big challenge for us next weekend but we will take what we've learned from our match against Biarritz into that last game and hopefully get the result we need.
"Because against Biarritz we didn't really play to our game plan and we got sucked into a helter-skelter game and a bit of sevens rugby.
"They covered the whole pitch in defence and we tried to throw the ball around too much. "Once we adapted to that and took the ball through the middle we reaped the rewards and the forwards were outstanding in the second half and that second 40 really made the difference.
"Sport is a funny thing where you can turn things around in a week and for the guys to come out after two very disappointing games to play the way we did last weekend was incredible.
"So we are hoping to take the positives out of this game and there were some fantastic individual performances; Hugh Vivien and Chris Jack were both outstanding and all of the forwards worked very hard to give us a decent platform."
All Black lock Jack crowned a commanding performance with two tries to compliment his tireless work in the tight.
"Things started to click for us just before half-time," he said. "We were trying very hard in the first half and things just weren't coming together but we managed to turn it around.
"It's been a long time since I scored two tries in a game and I'm starting to find my place in the team and work out what I'm doing here.
"For us it's all about team work and if we want to get guys in the England team we need to work hard to support them and, if we do that, hopefully later on we'll get some more guys in the England set-up.
"We still have another game before we find out we are in, and where we will be, in the knockout stages but it's a great opportunity for me to be looking at playing a Heineken Cup quarter-final."
