Dejected London Irish captain Bob Casey said his side were devastated by their manner of their 21-15 defeat to Heineken Cup kings Toulouse at Twickenham.
Irish led the French giants 10-3 after half an hour, and were level at 15-15 well into the second half before Toulouse closed out the tie with two penalties from Jean-Baptise Elissalde.
And a downbeat Casey summed up his feelings after the match saying: "We're absolutely devastated to be honest. We can't believe we've lost.
"We we're the only team playing for the last 15 minutes with Topsy and Sailosi doing so well and there we're a few decisions in that period we just could not fathom. As it turned out, we lost this game in the period before half-time.
"This team can go a long way. We've just got to re-group and make sure we get back in the Heineken Cup next season".
Ojo, the Heineken man-of-the-match, found the loss equally difficult to swallow. He said:
"We're disappointed because we had so many opportunities. To come up that short is hard to take and very difficult to put into words. We made so many line breaks and the game was there to be taken.
"We took the game to them but we were not as clinical as we could have been. We've got two Premiership games to put it right and qualify for this tournament again because these are the matches you want to be involved in".
