Irish international wing Tommy Bowe has signed a three year contract with the Heineken Cup quarter- finalists the Ospreys.
Tommy Bowe is a product of the Ulster School's and Ulster Academy rugby and made his debut with Ulster in the 2003/04. The Monaghan born player has worn the white and red jersey 80 times since. This season, Bowe is currently leading try scorer for the irish province with five tries in all competitions.
Elected Irish Rugby Young Player of the Year and Ulster Rugby Personality of the Year, the 23 year old has played twenty two times in the Heineken Cup to date.
Ospreys head coach Lyn Jones, was delighted to announce Bowe's signing:
"Tommy Bowe has considerable talents and will increase the options available to us behind the scrum. Although still only 23 years of age, he is a top quality player who has already enjoyed success with Ulster and has made an impact in international rugby. He has a very bright future in the game, and we're delighted that this will be with the Ospreys."
The international wing (10 caps with Ireland) will join the Ospreys at the end of the season.
The Welsh club is still very much in the running for Heineken Cup honours and will face Saracens in Heineken Cup quarter- finals on Sunday, 6 April at 12.30 (local time) live on Sky Sports. It's the first time the Ospreys have qualified for the final stages of the Heineken Cup.
