The sold out signs went up at Kingsholm early this morning after the remaining 1500 tickets for the Heineken Cup quarter-final with Munster were snapped up by season ticket holders who had queued from the early hours.
Tickets for the much anticipated clash with the 2006 Heineken Cup champions were available on a limited one per season ticket holder basis to Gloucester fans for the past three weeks at Kingsholm. Such was the demand that only 1500 of Gloucester allocation were left for sale this week.
Hundreds of Gloucester's loyal season ticket holders queued this morning to get their hands on a second ticket for the repeat of the 2003 "Miracle Match" with the Irish province.
Munster's allocation of approximately 4,000 is being distributed through the Munster Supporters Club and through rugby clubs within the province and no tickets are expected to go on public sale.
The redeveloped 16,500 capacity Kingsholm Stadium will host the clash on Saturday, 5 April 2008 with a 5.30pm kick-off. The game will broadcast live by Sky Sports.
