Heineken glory still on Hill's radar

Hill was instrumental as Saracens turned the form book on its head to defeat the Ospreys 19-10 in front of a full house at Vicarage Road.

And Hill, who has announced his retirement at the end of the season said it was for 'days like these' that kept him playing rugby at the grand old age of 35.

"It's a fantastic feeling to win this match. It's Great to be part of team effort and it's for days like today that I want to keep on playing," he told Sky Sports at the end of the game.

"We were fighting to the last minute, we always had belief, we knew we were good enough to win this match.

"We knew the Ospreys are a good side, they are full of players who have just come of the back of a Grand Slam, but there had been a lot written in the media this week, and that provided us with the motivation we needed today."

One of those Grand Slam winners, Ospreys skipper Ryan Jones, was downcast in the post match interview saying: "There are 22 bitterly disappointed guys in their. We came off second best, faield to generate any momentum, and it's back to the drawing board for us ahead of next weekend's EDF Energy Cup final.

Jones admitted his troops were rattled by the intensity. " We were scratching our heads at times trying ot deal with them," he said.

"They've done superbly well, we will take a lot from the experience and come back stronger next season," he vowed.
