Victorious London Irish coach Brian Smith has made a rallying call to Irishmen across the country to roar his team to semi-final glory after they booked their place at the Twickenham show piece with a deserved victory over Perpignan at the Madejski.
Looking forward to that tie against the winners of the Toulouse v Cardiff Blues quarter final, Smith said:
?Both are outstanding sides but hopefully we can use the Twickenham factor as an advantage.

?Let?s hope all those with any Irish blood in them or who consider Irish their second team come out and support us. We want every Paddy in England to turn up.
Irish were grateful to five penalties from full-back Peter Hewat and a try from Declan Danaher in the historic win and had to recover from the loss to injury of backline orchestrator Mike Catt in the first half. He said:
?Catty started really well but we always had Geraghty to come on. We started four forwards and three backs on the bench today which is unusual for us but we thought that was the way to beat them. It was pretty much a case of suck it and see.
?We had a lot of possession early on, I think we used our entire playbook in the first 10 minutes with little reward but the control in the second half was just awesome.
?Peter Hewat was outstanding with the boot and through the kicking out of hand we dominated the territory.?
