The only two French sides who qualified for the Heineken Cup quarter finals will face each other this weekend in the French championship, two months before they could potentially meet again in the Heineken Cup semi-finals on the weekend of 26/ 27 April.
Toulouse triple Heineken Cup champions, will host Perpignan on Saturday, 16 February at the Ernest Wallon stadium. With this weekend's gap in the Six Nations both teams look set to play their international players. Toulouse who are currently first In the Top 14 table have never lost to the Catalan side at home in five years. The black and reds are favourites for this clash of two the French proud clubs and will be hoping to continue their impressive start to the season, having one lost on one occasion to date.
Perpignan, who will face London Irish in the Heineken Cup quarter-final, have named their French international players, David Marty and Nicolas Mas for the Toulouse game.
Following the Heineken Cup semi-final draw in January Toulouse and Perpignan could potentially face each other in the Heineken Cup semi-finals if they win against Cardiff Blues and London Irish respectively.
In 2003, Toulouse and Perpignan already meet in a must win Heineken Cup match in the 2003 Heineken Cup final in Lansdowne Road, with Guy Novès' side winning the coveted European trophy 22-17.
