Perpignan and England international prop forward, Perry Freshwater, has signed a new two year contract with the 2008 Heineken Cup quarter-finalists Perpignan.
Born in New-Zealand, Perry Freshwater started his career with Leicester Tigers and has won the Heineken Cup twice with the English side in 2001 and 2002. The prop moved to the south of France in 2003 to join Perpignan with whom he has now qualified for the Heineken Cup quarter-finals on two occasions.
Freshwater, has earned a total of 44 Heineken Cup caps, 24 of these with his adopted French club, where he will now stay until at least June 2010.
Perpignan will face London Irish in the Heineken Cup quarter-final on Saturday, 5 April at the Madjeski Stadium at 3.00 (local time) having played the English side twice in the Pool stages. The Catalans will be aiming to qualify for their third Heineken Cup semi-final where they would meet either Toulouse or Cardiff Blues and would have home country advantage.
