Heineken Cup quarter-finalists Shane Williams (Ospreys) and Andy Powell (Cardiff) are both still in doubt for Saturday's Six Nations Wales v England showdown, despite having being named in the champions starting line-up on Thursday.
Ryan Jones returns to captain Wales at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday (kick-off 5.30pm) in the only change coach Warren Gatland has made to the side victorious against Scotland in the RBS 6 Nations opener at Murrayfield last Sunday.
IRB world player of the year Shane Williams is selected on the wing, but missed training to Thursday due to an ankle injury and will be re-assessed on Friday morning after further rest. If Williams doesn't make it through his fitness test Scarlet Mark Jones will be promoted from outside the 22 straight into the starting line-up after recovering from an appendix operation.
Another possible change could come in the back row after No8 Andy Powell pulled up in training on Thursday morning with a tightening in his calf, an the the injury will be assessed before any final calls are made.
The WRU reports that Ospreys Centre Gavin Henson had not sufficiently recovered from his calf strain to be considered for selection.
