• A record 964,571 fans went through the turnstiles at the 79 matches - 44,832 more than in the 2004 / 2005 tournament.
• Munster scrum half Peter Stringer's match-clinching try was the 400th and last of the 11th season of the Heineken Cup.
• A total of 3,614 points were scored during the tournament - Munster fly half Ronan O'Gara accounting for 115 of them as the Heineken Cup leading scorer took his overall haul to 764 points.
• The 11th Heineken Cup final was the 730th tournament match. The 800th match will be the 10th game to kick-off in Round 6 of the 2006 / 2007 competition.
• There are now 75 venues in eight countries that have staged Heineken Cup action.
• A record 56 Heineken Cup matches were broadcast live on television this season.
• Over 40,000 people greeted Munster in Limerick on Sunday as Heineken Cup champions and a further 30,000 fans welcomed their hereos home in Cork on Tuesday evening.
• The showpiece final was broadcast live in five continents. Over 3,000,000 fans watched FR2's coverage in France and up to three-quarters of a million tuned into RTE television's coverage in Ireland.
• The 2006 / 2007 Heineken Cup kicks-off in 148 days on Friday, 19 October.
