Ospreys duo Lee Byrne and Shane Williams both scored two tries each this weekend as the Ospreys packed Wales team recorded their third Six Nations win.
The Wales match squad, which included 13 Ospreys, demolished the Italians 47 to 8 points at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday. Lee Byrne, who has featured in all of the Ospreys Heineken Cup games this season, continued his good run of form scoring tries in both halves and earning the RBS Man of the Match award.
Club mate Shane Williams, currently Ospreys highest try scorer in the Heineken Cup, crossed the line twice to bring his international try haul to 39, just one short of Gareth Thomas' all time Wales test record.
Ospreys fans will be hoping that their free scoring backs can keep their good run of form until at least Sunday, 6 April when the Welsh region will face Saracens in their historic Heineken Cup quarter-final at Vicarage Road.
Other Six Nations action on Saturday saw Ireland defeat Scotland 34-13 in Croke Park keeping their championship ambitions alive. Munster forwards David Wallace and Marcus Horan contributed two of Ireland's five tries in a match that also saw the international return of the Irish province's captain Paul O'Connell.
Munster will face Gloucester in what will be the Irish side's tenth successive Heineken Cup quarter-final on Saturday, 5 April 2008 at Kingsholm.

The European Challenge Cup quarter-finalist with Newcastle shattered the French Grand Slam dream and reaffirmed his position as one England's leading number ten.
With England victory in France, Warren Gatland's Wales are now the only contender for a Grand Slam this season with his New Zealenders former team Ireland the next hurdle to cross.
