ERC can confirm that the Federation Française de Rugby (FFR) has withdrawn its application to host the 2014 Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup finals, due to the ongoing uncertainty regarding the availability of the Stade de France.
Heineken Cup triple champions Toulouse provide the backbone to the French team with captain Fabien Pelous leading the way with his club team-mates Florian Fritz, Frédéric Mickalak, Yannick Nyanga. Reserves Cedric Heymans and Jean -Baptiste Ellisalde of Toulouse will be waiting for the call from the bench.
French champions Biarritz who face Sale in the quarter-final are represented by Damian Traille, Dimitri Yachville, Jerome Thion and Thomas Lievrement.
All of these French stars will have their sights set on returning to the Millennium Stadium on Saturday 20 May to fight for the title of champions of Europe.
