Bath Rugby head coach Steve Meehan is delighted to have Butch James available for selection against Leicester Tigers at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday in what he calls "a very special tournament."
Springbok No 10 ace James, cleared of a citing complaint at a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday, is now free to spearhead the Bath challenge in the all-England Heineken Cup quarter-final.
"He trained today, was pretty light on his feet and is ready for this opportunity", said Meehan.
"People are pointing at his lack of kicking success against Harlequins last weekend but that was only his second poor performance and I know he can bounce back, he is that sort of individual.
Both English clubs are former Heineken Cup champions and Meehan declared. "The Heineken Cup is a special tournament, it brings teams in from all over Europe and players from all over the world.
"The matches are also being screened in many countries worldwide so the Heineken Cup is finding itself a very important place in the rugby calendar. It provides special moments and games you want o be part of.
""The entire team are really looking forward to this one-off opportunity and we will be relying n the experienced guys to bring the necessary composure for such a big occasion.
"We have not spoken a single word this week about our remaining Premiership fixtures we are concentrating solely on the Heineken Cup and a team we know pretty well.
"Leicester have been the form team in recent times playing some good rugby and I think they are more threatening now than they have been for some time."
