DEWI MORRIS' QUARTER-FINAL PICKS

Ollie Smith had another excellent round capped off with a try as Leicester went to Dublin and beat Leinster. No one now would be surprised if he goes on the Lions tour of New Zealand. Smith has everything England and the Lions need as he showed with his first-half score.

He has the talent, he creates space, has pace and has vision. He has everything you need for a Test centre - and as a young guy has a tremendous future. On Saturday he delivered against opponents of the quality of Brian O'Driscoll, Felipe Contepomi and, later on, Gordon D'Arcy. Andy Robinson must now pick him for England and he should be on the Lions tour.

TEAM OF THE WEEK - LEICESTER

I backed Munster at the beginning of the season but I never really thought they would win in Biarritz. They were excellent in the second-half but the result was never seriously in doubt. The wins for Toulouse and Stade Francais were achieved with third gear performances. Leicester's was definitely the performance of the weekend.

Magnificently marshalled by Martin Johnson, Leicester, with their forwards so dominant, were the team of the week by a country mile. Although they face Toulouse in the semi-final, perhaps at the Walkers Stadium, it seems written that Jonno could be going out with another Heineken Cup. The way they performed on Saturday proved what quality they have and want a fantastic team they are.

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - SARRAMEA

Olivier Sarramea hasn't played for France for about 6 years, but he can still score a hat-trick of tries in a Heineken Cup quarter final. The amount of talent in they have in depth in France amazes me. With three internationals missing from a back line, French sides can find these 6'5", 16 stone fullbacks, who can really play. What a powerful handful Sarramea was on Saturday for Stade Francais.

We have guys of that build in England but they don't make that sort of impact. I have not seen much of him, but going forward from fullback, Sarramea was brilliant, and could be a major force in this tournament. Out of the French sides left in the competition, Stade are looking pretty good. There isn't a lot to choose between the three, but if I were picking one to go all the way, I would go for Stade Francais.

VILLAINS OF THE WEEK-
UNCONTESTED SCRUMS

Because something has to be done about it before it causes a real ruckus, I am going for uncontested scrums as my villain this time around. ERC, the IRB, or the RFU have to allow bigger squads so that we get away from having uncontested scrums. Either wage caps needs to go up to allow more props on the bench or one day there will be a game that moves to uncontested scrums and a team will win because of it. Then there will be trouble, so let's sort it out before it comes to that.

I understand that injuries happen and it is unfortunate, but it can give one team a massive advantage or take away another sides's advantage, if scrums go uncontested.

MOMENT OF THE WEEK - FANS

Not one moment, but an over-riding memory of the weekend, was the packed houses around Europe. Four stadia and 160,000 people through the turnstiles. The Heineken Cup quarter finals are a great occasion and they are getting bigger and better every year. I only wish I could have been down there in San Sebastian with Biarritz and Munster. Despite losing on Sunday, I bet the Munster fans had a good night in Spain. It is all brilliant for the competition. The standard is increasing and so are the crowds. The Heineken Cup, if you can get your hands on it as a player, has become the crowning glory of domestic rugby.
