Connacht recorded an impressive win on the road over Montpellier to maintain their perfect start in the Amlin Challenge Cup.
The French side impressed last weekend by beating Worcester at Sixways, but were a shadow of themselves as they went down 22-10 to the Magners League outfit.
The defeat would have been particularly disappointing for coach Didier Bes as he watched his side let a three point half time lead turn into a 12 point reverse at the final whistle.
In the other match of the evening, Montauban were handsome 27-10 winners over Petrarca. That result, on top of the win over Albi last weekend means they are sitting pretty at the top of Pool 5, albeit with their nearest rivals, the Falcons, in action on Saturday.
Johan Dalla Riva kicked two penalties and converted the tries of Silviu Florea, Jean Emmanuel Cassin, Shannon Paku after 33, 46 and 67 minutes.
