Citings Againist London Irish and Leicester Tigers

Four citings were announced on Tuesday arising from Round 6 of the Heineken Cup. Full details below.
JULIAN WHITE CITING
Julian White, the Leicester Tigers prop (No 3), is due to appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee as a result of a citing arising from the Round 6 Heineken Cup Pool 6 match against Leinster at Welford Road on Saturday, 19 January, 2008.

The citing lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Geraint Edwards (Wales), is for the alleged punching of Leinster lock Malcolm O'Kelly (No 5) in contravention of Law 10.4 (a).

The independent Disciplinary Committee will be appointed as soon as practicable.

Law 10.4 (a) - Punching or striking: A player must not strike an opponent with the fist or arm, including the elbow, shoulder, head or knee(s).


DECLAN DANAHER CITING
Declan Danaher, the London Irish flanker (No 7), is due to appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee as a result of a citing arising from the Round 6 Heineken Cup Pool 1 match against Benetton Treviso at Stadio Comunale di Monigo on Saturday, 19 January, 2008.

The citing lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Russell Howell (Wales), is for alleged stamping / trampling on Benetton Treviso lock Cornelius van Zyl (No 5) in contravention of Law 10.4 (b).

The independent Disciplinary Committee will be appointed as soon as practicable.

Law 10.4 (b) - Stamping or trampling: A player must not stamp or trample on an opponent.


DAN MURPHY CITING
Dan Murphy, the London Irish replacement (No 16), is due to appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee as a result of a citing arising from the Round 6 Heineken Cup Pool 1 match against Benetton Treviso at Stadio Comunale di Monigo on Saturday, 19 January, 2008.

The citing lodged by the Citing Commissioner for the match, Russell Howell (Wales), is for the alleged tripping of Benetton Treviso prop Salvatore Costanzo (No 3) in contravention of Law 10.4 (d).

The independent Disciplinary Committee will be appointed as soon as practicable.

Law 10.4 (d) - Tripping. A player must not trip an opponent

Bob Casey, the London Irish lock (No 5), is due to appear before an independent Disciplinary Committee as a result of a citing arising from the Round 6 Heineken Cup Pool 1 match against Benetton Treviso at Stadio Comunale di Monigo on Saturday, 19 January, 2008.
