Match report

Perpignan had no problems seeing of Benetton Treviso as they kept their Heineken Cup quarter-final hopes alive.

The French side ran in eight tries - including a second-half hat-trick from Guilhem Guirado - as they turned a shaky 15-13 lead at halftime into a crushing 55-13 victory at Stade Aime Giral.

Lock Gerrie Britz and scrum-half Nicolas Durand scored first-half tries for the home side, but the Italian team kept in touch with a try to Cornelius Van Zyl and three goals from Marius Goosen.

Guirado produced a stunning display of try-scoring to secure a crucial bonus point, and Perpignan ran away with it through tries to Jean-Pierre Perez, Rimas Alvarez-Kairelis and Chris Cusiter.

Perpignan face a trip to Newport Gwent Dragons in the final Pool 1 match as they try to stay in touch with leaders London Irish.
