Stade Francais bounced back from their defeat to Ulster last weekend win a win at Stade Jean Boin.
The French side ran in 29-16 winners and in doing so, they extend their lead in Pool 4 to four points and now sit in the box seat for quarter-final qualification.
The fixture was hastily rearranged after heavy snowfall meant yesterday’s scheduled game in Brussells had to be cancelled.
And, in front of their home fans, Stade Francais turned up the heat on Ulster to record what could be a win that turns their Heineken campaign around.
But it was Ulster, through their extravagantly bearded fly half Ian Humphreys started the scoring with a penalty after just two minutes but Beauxis didn't waste time levelling matters.
The Top 14 team seized the initiative five minutes later with French hooker Dimitri Szarzewski going over for the games opening try.
Leading 10-3 the home side seemed pretty confident during the early exchanges. Humphreys pulled back three points after a quarter of an hour but three penalties from Beauxis over the course of the next 15 minutes helped the French side out to a 13 point lead.
A third Humphreys penalty just before the break made it a 10 point game.
Both sides made a number of early changes in the second half but it was the French side who where the first to add to their score in the second period as Beauxis added a penalty on the hour mark.
Stade Francais then wrapped up the victory six minutes later when hooker Benjamin Kayser, on as a replacement, dotted down to give them a 29-9 lead.
Ulster centre Andrew Trimble grabbed a consolation try for the visitors ten minutes from time but the four vital Heineken Cup Pool 4 points were destined to go the way of the French team
