Scotland and Sale Sharks back row Jason White has signed a two year deal with French club ASM Clermont Auvergne and will leave Sale at the end of the season.
White, who won Guinness Premiership honours and has made more than 100 appearances for the Sharks since joining the Manchester based club in 2003 from Glasgow.
The move by the former Scotland and Sale captain follows the recent announcement that Director of Rugby Philippe Saint-André will also leave Stockport.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my time with Sale Sharks and have played with some great players at the club. I would like to thank the coaches Philippe and Kingsley for everything they have done for me. It has always been an ambition of mine to play in France and I am looking forward to moving to Clermont in the summer." said the 50 times capped Scotland international.
