A total of 61 of the 108 back-to-back Heineken Cup Rounds 3 and 4 combinations since the current format was introduced in the 1999 / 2000 tournament have ended in double joy for one of the teams
A total of 61 of the 108 back-to-back Heineken Cup Rounds 3 and 4 combinations since the current format was introduced in the 1999 / 2000 tournament have ended in double joy for one of the teams – including half of last season’s 12 double headers. The 25 teams to have done the mid-tournament “double” in the last nine seasons – the Scarlets and Munster doing it six times – are: 

6 – Scarlets, Munster
5 – Leinster, Leicester Tigers
4 – Toulouse, Biarritz Olympique
3 – Cardiff Blues, Northampton Saints, Gloucester Rugby, Ospreys
2 – Bath Rugby, Stade Français Paris, London Wasps, Saracens
