Stade Français Paris look sure to smash the Heineken Cup Pool attendance record when they host Harlequins at the 80,000 capacity Stade de France on Saturday, 6 December.
Already 50,000 tickets have been sold for the Anglo-French European classic at the French national stadium, which means Stade Francais are sure of topping their previous best home gate in Europe of 45,000.
That came in the quarter-final against Newcastle Falcons in 2005 at Parc des Princes and was closely followed by another big crowd of 44,112 for the Pool clash with Sale Sharks in the 2007/08 season at the same venue, which currently still stands as the Pool record attendance for the tournament.
The clash will break new ground for the Heineken Cup as the first game staged at the home of the French national team with the impressive Saint Denis venue becoming the 84th ground to host Heineken Cup action.
