Perry Freshwater
Freshwater sidelined for six weeks
4 November 2008, 11:59 am
Perpignan's Perry Freshwater will be out of the third and fourth rounds of the Heineken Cup.
The prop sustained a serious ankle injury in his side’s Top 14 Orange victory against Mont de Marsan.

Perry has torn ligaments and dislocted his left ankle, the club website http://www.usap.fr details the injury as a 'fractured astragalus'.

The talus bone or astragalus of the ankle joint connects the leg to the foot, and requires a six-week rehalibitation period.

Perpigan have French international front rower Nicolas Mas on the books, and may turn to Tongan international Kisi Pulu to fill Freshwater’s position for their back to back matches with Leicester Tigers, champions of 2001, and 2002.
