Fabien Pelous has extended his contract until 2009 with three times Heineken Cup winners Toulouse.
The former France captain will play for at least one more year for the club he joined in 1997 and has enjoyed significant success with.
During his time in Toulouse, sometime called 'La Ville Rose' because of the many pink buildings in the historic French city, Pelous has won two French titles, two Heineken Cup medals (2003 and 2005) and an ERC Elite award for 50 Heineken Cup appearences.
This season, Pelous has played seven of the eight Heineken Cup games en route to the Cardiff final, missing just the Round One match in Edinburgh.
The French record cap holde (118) with “Les Bleus” will play after Lansdowne Road, Twickenham and Murrayfield, his fourth Heineken Cup final at the Millennium Stadium.
The new deal is the fourth Toulouse contract announcement in recent days following extensions by Thierry Dusautoir, Salvatore Perugini and Florian Fritz.
