Isaacs happy with semi-final progression

"It was a very tough, difficult and close game but I think we deserved the victory," he said.

"We made a lot of mistakes and we had a poor kicking game after training all week to play with the ball in hand.

"However we scored almost every time we went into their 22 in the first half and that was very important."

Opposite number Sean Holley regretted his side letting slip the opportunity of making the semi-finals for the first time.

"We were the better team for long periods and we could hand should have been in the semi-finals but we are not," he said.

"We had opportunities, particularly in the first half to nail the game but we lacked the clinical edge when it mattered most.

"We have to start crossing the line and right now it is pretty painful but we are hugely ambitious regarding this tournament and it's time we take the step up and getting to the semi-finals and final."
