Dimitri Yachvili believes his Biarritz side are "80 minutes away from something extraordinary" as they prepare for their Heineken Cup final showdown with Toulouse.
Despite struggling in domestic competition this season, Biarritz have impressed in Europe and highlighted their Heineken Cup credentials with a hard fought 18-7 semi-final victory over Irish giants Munster to set up an all French final.
And whilst conceding his side will be unfancied by many against their illustrious opponents, Yachvili is confident his men can silence the doubters and deliver another Heineken Cup upset.
Yachvili said: "I think we will be considered as the underdogs again going to the final
against Toulouse, but that term seems to suit us and we are definitely 80 minutes away from something extraordinary.
"We deserved our semi-final win because despite being rated underdogs from the start,
we've shown solidarity and we have believed in ourselves to defeat some of the biggest teams in Europe.
"All qualifications to tournament finals are beautiful to get - that of the 2006 final was great - but this one arrives in a season where we haven't performed well in the Top 14, compared to 2006 when we won the Brennus Shield, so it is even more special."
"In our careers we may not experience many more of these finals, if at all, so we will relish and make the most of this semi-final win and we will prepare to face Toulouse in due time."
