Stade Francais will be without star back rower Juan Manuel Leguizamon for the opening two rounds of the Amlin Challenge Cup.
Leguizamon has been banned for 80 days after being found guilty of making illegal contact with the area of Jean Bouilhou during a Top 14 clash with Toulouse on August 28.
Bouilhou had sent a letter to the Ligue Nationale de Rugby's disciplinary committee to exonerate Leguizamon of the charge, but the former London Irish forward was still found guilty.
The Argentina international will now miss a host a domestic fixtures and his country's autumn internationals, as well as the Amlin Challenge Cup openers at home to Crociati Rugby and away at Leeds Carnegie.
Leguizamon had faced the possibility of being suspended for up to three years, with his 80-day punishment actually the minimum period for the offence.
