Byron Kelleher admits he is relishing pitting his wits against an old friend as Toulouse set up a Heineken Cup semi-final showdown with defending champions Leinster.
Kelleher will be reunited with Leinster forward's coach Jono Gibbes ahead of their May 1st showdown following the French side's crushing 42-16 victory over Stade Francais.
The pair have a long relationship from their Waikato and Chiefs days and played together against the 2005 British and Irish Lions.
And the All Black scrum-half intends to expose the secret behind the Irish province's success before their date in the south of France.
Kelleher, 33, said: "Jono is a coach there and he is a good, old Chiefs friend of mine. We will speak this week and try to catch up for a coffee and I'll try and ask for Leinster's gameplan.
"I watched Leinster play on Friday night and they are as good as anyone else. We will not focus too much on them just yet but we know we have a few things to work on.
"Seeing the level of rugby this weekend means our performance will not be sufficient to win the next game.
"Leinster are a difficult team but we will enjoy the win tonight, celebrate and worry about them in the coming weeks."
Kelleher was instrumental as Toulouse brushed aside their countryman with an emphatic second half display to send shockwaves across the Irish Sea and a date with defending champions Leinster.
