Andy Powell will return for Cardiff Blues tonight (Fri) amid continuing speculation over his future.
Super League outfit the Crusaders have been heavily linked with the Wales back-row star.
But Blues coach Dai Young has played down reports of Powell, who has recovered from a hamstring strain to face Welsh rivals Newport Gwent Dragons, making the switch to north Wales.
Young said: "We have not heard anything official from the Crusaders and Andy has not approached us about it.
"I did have one discussion with Brian Noble a while ago but I told him Andy is under contract for next season.
"Brian said he wasn't aware of that and I haven't heard from him since.
"But it seems that if any Welsh rugby union player say they watch or like the sport then they are linked with the Crusaders.
"I have no doubts Andy would be a top rugby league player but it's just pure speculation."
While Powell is back in contention to boost the Blues' slim Magners League play-off hopes, Gethin Jenkins has been ruled out of the trip to Rodney Parade.
British Lions prop Jenkins has a foot injury while Martyn Williams (ribs), and Casey Laulala (knee) also miss out with their Amlin Challenge Cup semi-final against London Wasps just over a week away.
