Italy international, Sergio Parisse, has been appointed as new Stade Francais captain for the coming season. The world-class 27-year-old back row takes over as skipper from Rodrigo Roncero.
The French heavyweights will be aiming for European silverware this season in the Amlin Challenge Cup and have been drawn in Pool 4 along with Leeds Carnegie, Crociati Rugby and Bucuresti Oaks. Stade kick off their campaign with a home game against Crociati on Thursday, 7 October.
Parisse, who is also the current Italy captain, will be assisted by vice-captains Dimitri Szarzewski and Julien Dupuy.
