Ireland's George Clancy will take charge of his first Tri Nations game this summer, filling in for the injured Bryce Lawrence when Australia host South Africa in Brisbane on July 24th.
Clancy, who refereed the first test between New Zealand and Wales in June, has taken charge of 11 international games since making his IRB debut in 2006.
Clancy joins Ireland's other experienced international referees Alan Lewis and Alain Rolland who are also in charge of a number of Tri Nations games.
Lewis will referee the opening game of the tournament between New Zealand and South Africa in Auckland on Saturday, while Rolland is one of the assistant referees for the game along with Australia's Stuart Dickinson.
Rolland will take charge of the second test between the top two world ranked teams a week later in Wellington. He will also be in charge of next month's clash between South Africa and Australia in Pretoria.
Rolland as referee, with Lewis and Clancy as his assistants, also took charge of last season's memorable Amlin Challenge Cup final between Toulon and the Cardiff Blues at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille in front of a tournament record crowd of 48,990.
