Kingsley Jones wants his Sale Sharks side to become the first team to win the Amlin Challenge Cup for a third time next season.
Speaking shortly after the draw for the 2010/11 tournament was made in Dublin, the Sharks' Director of Rugby said he was happy with his side's pool.
The Guinness Premiership outfit, who won the Challenge Cup in 2002 and 2005, will join Brive, Petrarca and Cetransa El Salvador in Pool 2.
"There is no other English club grouped with us, and we've never faced Spanish opponents before, so it's a great opportunity for us to progress and win something," said Jones.
"Brive are a strong side, with great European tournament history. We've played Petrarca Rugby before - they'll be strong.
"I don't know much about El Salvador, but we've got some good fixtures there.
"It's nice to take a break from the Premiership and play against teams from other countries."
Sale last appeared in the Challenge Cup in the 2007/08 season - the only time they haven't featured in the Heineken Cup in the past five years.
Last season the Sharks ran eventual winners Toulouse close at Edgeley Park having already beaten the soon-to-be Amlin Challenge Cup winners Cardiff Blues at the same venue.
